Dear meep user,

I am beginner in phc and meep. I am trying to simulate a slab phc within
a waveguide and a coupled cavity. I have already obtained the
transmission spectrum and the resonant modes / Q_values.

I would like to know what amount of energy that is introduced in my
input waveguide is transmitted into my cavity.
I am thinking about putting a source inside the cavity, and calculate
the energy fields inside the waveguide and the cavity with (flux-in-box
dir box), is that right ?

Or simply I put a source into the waveguide and look the transmittance
in 2 interesting points (just before the cavity and inside the cavity).
However, in this way, how can I can remove the field due to the cavity
reflection ?

A last question, I am a little bit confused with the use of PM layer. I
hesitate between three possibilities described in below. I think the
first is right, isn't it ?
