For Meep on windows I use Cygwin. So first install basic cygwin - I use rxvt as a terminal (no X windows overhead)
>From Cygwin you'll need to install: guile, guile-devel, fftw, hdf5 Download and make GNU's MathEval package Download the libctl package When I first tried to make libctl it complained it couldn't link to guile. I believe the problem was the dynamically linked libraries are named slightly different. I created a symbolic link for guile with the expected name (can't think of it off hand). Then make the libctl. Then download and make the meep code. I think I also had to adjust the environment variables for the include files to include the hdf5 headers - they are in a subdirectory called hd5f, but they aren't picked automatically. Hope that helps. Cheers, Dave _______________________________________________ meep-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://ab-initio.mit.edu/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/meep-discuss
