I would like to calculate the ratio of the flux and energy density of an SPP mode (with regard to a cross section). I think there is a problem to do that as it is impossible to terminate the waveguide with the PML (the PML tends to blow fields up when it is contact with a metal, and if I terminate the waveguide before the PML, I will suffer from back reflections that will obviously distort the results).
