Hello all/Steven,

I have been trying to use meep to calculate the modes of disk and ring
resonators, so I thought I would begin by reproducing the results of the ring
resonator example on the Meep tutorial. However, I have not been able to
reproduce the harminv output quoted in the tutorial. In general, the output of
harminv seems to depend on the resolution, as well as the simulation time. The
results also seem to vary between different versions of Meep.

Using the exact paramers shown in the tutorial, my Meep v0.1 installation on
Cygwin returns no resonances for harminv, whereas v0.2 and 1.0 on Ubuntu
returns results that are considerably different from those in the tutorial
example (and different from one another), both for the resonances and their
respective Q-values.

Am I missing something here? Is there possibly something wrong with my
installation. I did try make check on meep and it passed all tests.

Best,

Gustavo
