Greetings,

I want to know if theres any particular way to calculate what "Courant
factor" one should use to get stable output.

I was using the default courant number in meep for two cases:

Case 1: "a" = 100 nm with resolution 5 for vacuum wavelength corresponding
to 850 nm

Case 2: "a" = 1 micron with resolution 10 for vacuum wavelength
corresponding to 850 nm

The output blows out in case 2 while it is stable in case 1.

I wonder if theres any systematic way by which i can fix the range of my
"courant factor < (n_min / sqrt(#dimensions)"
OR should I go with trial and error method till I get stable output

Any suggestions would be of immense help.

Regards
Triratna
