Dear All,

I am simulating a microstrip line in MEEP. I am not using PML but
rather using metallic boundaries which are placed sufficiently far
away to avoid reflections.

I am attempting to excite the quasiTEM mode by putting an electric
field between the ground and microstrip line. When I run a gaussian
source on a wideband excitation, and subsequently run harminv while
running an appropriate k-point value, I am not finding the microstrip
line quasi TEM in my list of mode frequencies. I just see rectangular
waveguide mode frequencies being excited (due to the metallic boundary
walls).

Does any one have any suggestions on what I should be doing to see the
TEM mode in my list of frequencies. Thank you.

Thanks,

Amil
