Dear Meep Users,
I want to ask a few basic questions.

1) What does the color of source represents? I know that the red represent
positive and the blue represent negative but what physical quantity does it
represent?

2) If suppose i am using guassian source than how can i find the duration of
pulse i.e. pulse length?

3) Does the size of the source represnets the size of pulse?

4) If i am simulating something in 3D. For example if i simulate sphere in 3D
(please see the script below). Here in the code the polarization of the source
is in the y direction. Since the simulation is in 3D, so what will be the
direction of the k vector?

(set! geometry-lattice (make lattice (size 2 2 4)))
(set! geometry
    (list
    (make sphere (center 0 0 0) (radius 0.6)
            (material (make dielectric (epsilon 5))))))

(set! sources (list
               (make source
                 (src (make gaussian-src (wavelength 0.7) (width 0.3)))
                 (component Ey)
                 (center 0 0 -1.4)
                 (size 2 2 0))))

BR
Aaron
