Dear Steven and all MEEPers,
I followed as Steven says "The easiest installation on
Debian...precompiled packages for Meep".
My Debian is : debian-testing-i386-xfce+lxde-CD-1.iso 15-Nov-2010. My
meep Debian package is meep1.1.1-4+b1 installed via Synaptic.
Meepi nstallation along all dependencies gone OK.
Meep is installed in /usr... path , and /usr/local.. folder is empty. When
I ran simplest "straight waveguide" ctl file as a test , I received the
answer:

meep: not compiled with HDF5, required for HDF5 output
r...@wj:/home/wjasiew#
Does it mean that Debian-meep-package is compiled without HDF5 and manual
compilation is unavoidable?!!
Any ideas/suggestions , please ?
