Hi everyone, I am trying to compute the Q-factor of leaky modes of 2D PhC. I simply define the structure and run the harminv to compute modes and their Q-factor. I obtain the correct band diagram, however some modes above the lightline have very large Q-factor (10^6) - as they were still guided and not outcopled. Especially, this is the case of the modes at and around the Gamma point. Increasing the resolution or using spectrally narrow source does not help. I would expect these modes having very low Q-factors. Am I missing something? thanks a lot.
