Hello Meep Users,
Is it possible to get photon statistics from the output of FDTD simulations ? I
am thinking if we can use continuum behavior of EM radiation in some regions
and then use this data for predicting quantum behavior of photons.
For example, if we assume a fluorophore as an oscillating dipole. Then we can
find out the EM radiation at a cross section. This could be used to find out
average number of photons passing through a cross section such that we can
create a Poissionian Statistics from the average values etc. ?
Any suggestions or comments will be helpful.
