Dear Prof. Steven G. Johnson and Meep
users,
I would like to calculate the mode volume
of a cavity with Kerr material. To do this, we need to know the distribution of
\n2(r)\ (Kerr coefficient) in the region of integration, as appeared in Eq. 26,
pp. 218 of the Joannopoulos book (Second Edition). We know that the
distribution of dielectric is known in Meep, but it seems that it is not known
for Kerr coefficient. So, I should be very pleased if help me to solve this
problem, or please guide me if there is another method to calculate the mode
volume with no need for Kerr coefficient distribution.
With the best regards,
Behrooz
