Dear MEEP users,

Before asking the question, I'd like to introduce some background.
I now working on the simulation of a hyperbolic metamaterial. The distribution
of fields inside this material is strange unlike an isotropic material. One can
check that the energy propagates in some specific directions because of the
high wave vectors that are allowed in the hyperbolic dispersion.

The problem is that when I want to check the direction of the propagation of
the energy by rotating the electric current, these directions do not change. I
think that because the wave vector from the source still propagates
spherically, so the directions of propagation of energy stays on the same
lines. Now, I can not think of anything else. So, I want to rotate the wave
vector from the source to check whether these lines of propagation change or
not. Could someone help me?
