Dear Meep developers and users,

I faced the following problem recently. I would appreciate it if someone could
help.

First I wonder, when we plot " epsilon.h5 " file for MIM structure for
instance, in which metal is defined as either Drude metal, or Lorentz_drude
metal,
what PNG shows in metallic part is just the term "epsilon_infinity" of the
dielectric function of metal. That is metallic parts are plotted
as a dielectric with epsilon=epsilon_infinity.

Second, as you may know when we use "run-k-points", an epsilon.h5 file is
automatically outputted to ensure whether our structure is defined correctly or
not.
However, I have realized that the epsilon.h5 file that is outputted with
"run-k-points" is different of the epsilon profile that we output with the
following command:

(run-until 50
         (at-beginning output-epsilon))

I have attached the completely different PNG views for epsilon.h5 file
generated both by run-k-point and the above command.
The file starting with "2" belongs to the epsilon.h5 generated by
"run-k-points".
I have also read this file in MATLAB, but there is no smooth step function for
dielectric. I have included this file as well.

I would appreciate any help or comment.

Many thanks,
Roya
