Hi,

I'm new to this mailing list. I've tried out the "Overview" C++ example at:
http://ab-initio.mit.edu/wiki/index.php/Meep_C-plus-plus_Tutorial

I added a function declaration to it for compilation:
double eps(const vec &p);

I generated 2 image files (see attached) with the following step:
h5topng -S3 -Zc /share/h5utils/colormaps/dkbluered -o image.png *.h5

This was done based on the instructions at:
http://blog.add0n.com/2015/06/08/how-to-use-mits-meep-on-windows.html

I understand that the dielectric material is shown in the image:
image.png

I have some trouble understanding the image file:
hz-000150.00.png

Questions:
Why is the image file called hz-000150.00?
What do the red and blue lines mean?
Why is the image smaller than the dielectric material?
Why is there a curved white line cutting through the lower half of the image?
Why are there white horizontal lines at the edges/fringes of the upper half of
the image?

Best regards,
Max
