Hello,
I would like to ask you for help, because I have two questions concerning a radial symmetry problem.
1) Is it possible to specify a PML for r=0 in a cylindrical symmetry simulation? I saw reflections coming from the z-axis, when activating a source outside of the center, while all other boundaries absorbed the fields as they were supposed to with a PML.
2) Do I have to expect artifacts when I place sources (for example component mp.Ez) at the center (r=0)? Because I would like to simulate a lightning channel, where it would be practical if I could place sources at r=0. Or what would be your suggestion, how to do it and which meep component to use, if putting the current channel by means of mp.Ez into the center is not feasible?
Thank you very much in advance for any help :)
Best regards,
Hannes
