Dear community,

i have installed Meep using the miniconda3 prebuild version and created a
parallel environment via the
conda create -n pmp -c conda-forge pymeep=*=mpi_mpich_*
command line. I have not installed hdf5 or anything else separately, just
the miniconda3 prebuild.
My question now is whether i still have to configure hdf5 for parallel
usage to get full use of parallel meep or is this directly done by
miniconda3.
If i run parallel simulations with about 64 cores they seem to work, but
they are slower than I expected (~1.5 days in comparison to ~ 8 day with 4
cores...).

Thanks in advance for your help.

Best

S
