Hi all,

I am pretty new to MEEP fdtd software. I wanted to simulate an antenna
response near a metal conductor. I took help from the tutorial example for
this
https://github.com/NanoComp/meep/blob/master/python/examples/antenna-radiation.ipynb
Can I place the metal conductor in the near field region and calculate
similar far-field beam patterns. I read in the docs that " all these "near
surfaces" must lie in a single homogeneous material with isotropic ε and μ
". So I was confused as if I add a metal there that won't be the case.
I tried placing in the near region but my results were really ambiguous.
Kindly advise.
