All credit card details are taken on a 3rd-party payment gateway over
128-bit SSL, so if that's your main concern, then you can register
right away.

PS. HTTPS is available on our registration server (see
https://2013.pycon-au.org/ ), however the cert will identify itself as
lca2013.linux.org.au (which is the site of another conference run by
Linux Australia, our parent organisation, which had registration run
on the same server). If you're happy to trust the cert on that basis,
then feel free to use HTTPS. Obviously, we're not going to publish
that as the 'official way', because it looks a tad dodgy.
