I use gevent and gevent.monkey.patch() to asynch-ronize (if that means anything) my provisioning scripts for rackspace hosts. The script can launch several provisioning operations in parallell with a couple of very simple additions to what, otherwise, is a straight one-instruction-after-another piece of code.
