Thanks William. I suspect most people on this list will be happy to try and build/run this from source, in which case you'll need Python 3.3 (ish...) and a recent pygame. I'd done most of my development on windows in which case this was easy enough as there were pre-built binaries for both. On the Mac laptop I presented upon, it took an hour or so to get up and running - http://dudeslife.com/blog/2014/programming/installing-python-3-3-3-pygame-on-os-x-mavericks/helped a lot.
