Hi All: The contract I’m on will expire soon so it’s time to start beating the bushes to find my next awesome gig.
A short bio: My background is in academic science. After receiving my PhD, I’ve worked at several high powered research universities and institutes around the world (U Washington, Brown University, Max Planck Institute, Uni Auckland, ANU and U Melbourne). After leaving academia I concentrated my efforts to launch a career in software engineering. As an academic I used mainly the engineering powerhouse, Labview, for coding data collection and analysis routines. Since then, I’ve also developed skills in Python, Ruby and Java. Most recently, I’ve been working on developing a machine learning algorithm to help track child protection offenders nationwide through data matching across states.
