Hi Beniot, Thanks for the mail! I've had almost no contact with translators for better or for worse. Once the infrastructure was in, the translations appeared as if by magic.

And a lot of common strings are could be > auto-translated (like File/Edit/Close/Save/About/etc). Is there a special way to mark strings as auto-translatable? > Some strings also show unneeded markup > > #: ../glade2/filediff.glade.h:1 > msgid "" > "<span weight=\"bold\" size=\"larger\">Some files have been modified.\n" > "Which ones would you like to save?</span>" It's unfortunate, but thats the only way to set attributes on strings in glade. There is a bug filed for this issue. I could look at doing the markup from code if the entire string is enclosed in a single span. http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97061 > some are useless, > > #: ../filediff.py:1334 ../findreplace.py:106 > #, python-format > msgid "%s" > #: ../glade2/cvsview.glade.h:1 ../glade2/dirdiff.glade.h:1 > #: ../glade2/meldapp.glade.h:3 > msgid "*" > > #: ../glade2/cvsview.glade.h:2 > msgid "..." > > It would be easier if some strings cleanup were done :D > Thanks a lot Agreed. Could you open a bug against this?
