I've installed Meld (1.1.2), but when I've tried to run it, I've got
this error
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/local/bin/meld", line 93, in ?
import meldapp
File "/usr/local/lib/meld/meldapp.py", line 28, in ?
import prefs
File "/usr/local/lib/meld/prefs.py", line 52, in ?
import gconf
ImportError: /usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/gtk-2.0/gconf.so:
undefined symbol: gconf_unset_flags_get_type
I just ran into the same problem, but with Mandriva 2006. It turns out
I had installed the gnome-python-gconf package from the Club repository,
which provided version 2.12; that is also the version you list. When I
removed it and installed the 2.10 version of the package that came with
Mandriva 2006, the problem went away. So it seems that all this is a
problem with Gnome 2.12, or with mixing 2.10 and 2.12. I don't know
what the solution will turn out to be for your FC4 distribution.
