On my limited tests it does not seem to be slower than usual. However you get the cursor+spinning circle cursor pretty much all the time and pretty much everywhere, except when you place the mouse on top of the "file content panels" and the file path combobox. It is quite distracting and it gives the impression that there is a problem with the program. I have not seen this issue happen with 1.6.1.
