Luke,

As mentioned earlier, I've been thinking of different directions to take the look and feel of melkjug, but been a little hung up on working with the name and concept of milk along with visual references to reinforce the functionality of the site. So far I've decided to hold off on incorporating anything visually explicit that might suggest milk, jugs, or concepts like tuning or mixing and instead have just let the text and basic interface sit on its own.

That said, I've done a little brainstorming playing around with names/concepts using words like "mix", "mux", and "tune" for the process and "read", "feed", and "web" for the medium. In doing so, I really only bothered recording names that had available domain names. Here's a quick spattering of those:

note: mux and muxing are synonyms for multiplexing - a term used to refer to a process where multiple signals or data streams are combined into one signal over a shared medium, sound familiar? I think mux is also used like "mix" as in muxtape.com

muxjug.com (alludes to concept, sounds like melkjug, feels playful, shorter url, etc)
readmix.com (sounds like "re-mix")
readtune.com ("Re-tune your web")
readmux.com
muxread.com
feedmuxer.com
webmuxer.com
readmixer.com
readtuner.com
muxreader.com
readmuxer.com
feedEQ.com
webequalizer.com
muxtune.com
webtune.org

Here's a screenshot of the design direction i've been playing around with. I feel like I should've got some feedback from you earlier in the process, but better now than later:

Not sure if this ends up being too playful (maybe even kid like) or how much it might fit within "tongue-in-cheek web 2.0" but it's a stab at some of the descriptors and references you'd provided. Maybe we can sit down and talk about some of these issues before we head out today? I think we were originally hoping to get most of the design hashed out by the beginning of next week.
