Hi Everyone - I am interested in hearing from anyone who has gone from walk-in permit processing to internet or outsourced processing for building permits, business licenses and recreation class registration. I would like to know both the positive and the negative experiences. In particular, have you increased/decreased revenues because of the internet access? Have you been able to reduce staff or staff time as a result of using the internet processing? What other issues has this source of processing created for you that you might not have had before? If you are using a professional service for processing (like NetClerk or GovWorks, etc) via the internet, would you let me know what your experience has been with the service? Has it created similar issues to in-house internet processing? Who pays the fees for the processing? Has it generated more revenue? Has it reduced staff time at the counter? Has it impacted the finance department in any way? Thanks in advance for all comments and contributions.
