Brian Moura posted a message earlier regarding CSAC proposals on fiscal reform and the League position. League Executive Director sent the following note to Brian. Thought you would be interested. Brian, Like the League, CSAC has prepared some fiscal reform recommendations, and something like you have described are in the recommendations, but it would only apply to new sales tax growth. They are not working on an initiaitve. We are in regular discussions with them and have rejected their sales tax recommendation entirely. They understand our objections, and we are now working to bring them around to our way of thinking. We also are attempting to reach consensus on other aspects of our respective proposals.
