The City of Ridgecrest is currently seeking a
Director of Finance. Salary: $60,000-$75,000 annual + excellent
benefits. Benefits include city paid social security (employee &
employer share), $450 per month towards medical cafeteria plan, accrual of up to
2 weeks vacation per year, 2 weeks administrative leave per year, accrual of 80
hrs of sick leave per year, 12 paid holidays per year, and flex
Mondays.

Wells Valley of California's high desert on the eastern side of the Sierra
Nevada Mountains, 150 miles north of Los Angeles. Ridgecrest is
host to the famed federal research and development laboratory, China Lake

Requires five years increasingly responsible
experience in municipal accounting and financial work, including two years of
administrative and supervisory responsibility. Bachelor's degree in
Accounting or related field is required. Responsibilities include
maintenance of the financial accounting system for the City, providing financial
analysis and reporting, preparation and management of annual budget and CIP,
investing, purchasing, information systems, payroll, and debt management.
Experience with Redevelopment Agencies and grant accounting
desirable.
