As you may recall, the staff of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes is exploring several benefit changes to its calPERS retirement plan.  I would like ONLY contract cities to reply to the following questions.  I will summarize the results on or about April 1st and reply back to the group.  Thanks in advance for your continued participation!

How many full time employees does your "contract city" have?

If your City participates in calPERS, what formula is used for determining the retirement benefit for Miscellaneous Employees, 2% @ 55 or 2% @ 60?  If another formula is used, what is it?

Most plans provide either the Third or Fourth Level of 1959 Survivor Benefits.  Does your calPERS plan provide 1959 Survivor Benefits?  If so, what Level of 1959 Survivor Benefits is provided Miscellaneous Employees?

Does your calPERS plan include the provision for One-Year Final Compensation (vs. the last three years compensation) for determining the average monthly retirement benefit payment for Miscellaneous Employees?

What other optional calPERS benefits does you plan include for Miscellaneous Employees?
