Hello everyone; Is there a certification and/or license for a person to call themselves a FA financial advisor. I often get approached by people and or firms of financial advisors, and would like to include in our financial policies that only licensed or registered advisors be used. Is this financial area controlled by the State like a CPA or is there a certifying body like CGFM by GFOA? Thank you for your assistance.
