Hi there,
The City of Patterson uses Fund Balance for GL, PR, AP, PO, and Utility
Billing. We've had our share of complaints with the software. We're
currently using their DOS based, 16-bit programs; they have 32-bit software
available, but not in all modules yet. To be honest, I haven't had a lot of
experience with govtl. software--just SCT (System 36), BRC (AS/400) and Fund
Balance (PC) but I'm not entirely convinced that they do everything they can
to be competitive. Response to seemingly simple program requests take a long
time and a lot of complaining to be heard. They are considerably
cheaper--about 1/4 the cost of other software, I've found--but I'm starting
to believe you get what you pay for.
You might talk to some other cities that use FB, if they didn't already
respond to you:
City of Riverbank (Dave Machado, Larrie Sweet)
City of Rio Vista (Gail Mello, Janet Fonbuena)
City of Waterford (Charles Deschenes, Pam Hummicutt, Gary Nienhuis)
Town of Hillsborough (Verlayne Cave, Marie Bernardo)
County of Lake (Cathy Saderlund, Walter Parker)
City of Brentwood (Anita Jones, Pam Ehler)
City of Selma (Sharon Eosanjh, Pat Neal)
Hope this helps,
Betina McCoy
