I need some feedback in two separate areas related to budgeting.
 
1) The City of Burbank anticipates incorporating performance measures into
the adopted FY     2000-01 budget.  I have samples from some jurisdictions
and two books from GFOA.  Earlier this year there was a seminar on this
topic in Long Beach but I don't know who was the sponsor.  I have contacted
GFOA about offering something in the Southern California area. Does anyone
know of any upcoming seminars in the Greater Los Angeles area within the
coming year?
 
Along those lines, I am told if there were sufficient member interest in a
member-oriented seminar on this topic - I will forward info to the Career
Development Committee. 
 
2) Are there budget programs out there (outside of your general financial
systems) to assist with budget preparation?  Please provide the program
name, any vendor contact information, your satisfaction level with the
program; reporting capabilities and if any of these reports are integrated
directly into your budget documents.
 
I realize it is probably pretty busy with budget hearings, but if I could
have results by Friday, June 9.  I will summarize info to circulate to the
group.  Thank you.
