Hi Everyone - I'm trying to understand how the parking citation revenues are to be split between the local agency, the county and the state. We have Contra Costa County processing our citation revenues and each month we get a listing and payment of funds due to the City. In the report, there is a column entitled "State AB408 Amount". Is it the responsibility of the County jurisdicational office to pay this fee or is it the responsibility of the local agency (the City) to pay the fees to the State? As a side note, Contra Costa County sends us all of the funds collected for the county, state and city shares. We have an agreement with Alameda County to pay them the fees. We have paid the total due to the State and the County. Alameda is now saying that they don't collect the state amount related to AB408. Thus, my question as to who has responsibility... Thanks in advance for your help and if I could have your answers by the end of tomorrow, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm still trying to close our books for FY1999-00!
