I am implementing a records retention policy and am using the San Luis Obispo resource available at the CSMFO website.  As Gridley is a small agency, I am looking to expand on the San Luis policy to include administration, planning, building (most of the administrative department records held at City Hall).  Records we are trying to identify retention periods for include agreement files, JPA records, minutes, resolutions and ordinances.  Some of these are obvious such as keeping minutes permanently.

I am asking for any assistance you might have for identifying retention periods on non-finance related records and government codes that support those periods.  Also, if anyone knows of a resourse outside of CSMFO that would provide assistance that would be very useful as well.

This is the first time I have used this resourse in asking for assistance but would like to say that this is a great way for communicating concerns and for "keeping in the loop."

I look forward to responses and will summarize them for publication.
