Attached is a spreadsheet with the responses. I apologize that a couple of
the responses were lost in a glitch with my e-mail.
It was most interesting to see the responses. We are different but still
the same as is said. Some cities contract out services. Some finance
departments do not handle the treasury functions while other do not have the
purchasing. Some cities do not provide utilities or at least have the
function within finance. The 'other' staffing was a wide range of
activities. I felt it would complicate the spreadsheet to include these,
but if anyone is interested in a particular function that does not appear on
the spreadsheet, please contact me. It may be included in the other column.
Thank you to all who responded! The Finance Director found the responses to
be very helpful.
