I recall there being discussion several months ago regarding the referenced code concerning publication of the city's financial report. In fact, Jeanne Arehart of Orange posted her results on the CSMFO web site. Our auditors have advised us that the State Controller's Office has made it very clear that all cities are to comply with this code this year. The required format prescribed by the State Controller is page 3 of the State Controller's Report. We are also required to notify the SCO by fax or mail as to how public notice was given to comply with this law. Since we've all submitted our State Controller's Report in a timely manner (hurry -- due tomorrow!), it seemed like an appropriate time to remind everyone of this new regulation.
