Nadeem Iqbal - President ********************************* Dear Association Members, The International Festival almost here, with less than two weeks to go and final preparations are going in full swing. All volunteers are cordially invited to a meeting/pot luck picnic next Sunday 3pm-7pm at the following location: LOCATION : North Cary Park shelter DATE : Sunday 21st April TIME : 3pm-7pm Rain or shine, the shelter is well covered and it's nice and brand new. DIRECTIONS: http://townofcary.org/depts/prdept/parks/north.htm If coming from Durham, Chapel Hill or Raleigh, it's best to take I40, exit 287 (Harrison Ave, same as Sam's Club exit) and then follow the Harrison Avenue directions. POT LUCK COORDINATOR: Seema Faruqi, 596-4792 (home weekdays after 5:30pm) Please arrive on time as we have a full agenda!!!! And please bring a pot luck dish (please coordinate with Seema Faruqi). Association will provide plastic and paperware. Please volunteer to help as we are short of volunteers for all activities and need your help !!! All we are asking is a 2 hour (minimum) commitment to help in one of our three booths at the festival (Sidewalk Cafe, Bazaar, Cultural Exhibit) and help in participating or setting up of the other 2 events (Ceremonies, Demonstration and Coffeehouse performances). In return, you will receive a full day pass to the festival for $1 (regular price $6). And if other members from your family volunteer too, everybody gets a volunteer pass!
