NCPAA, North Carolina Pakistani American Association was proud to celebrate Pakistan's 55th Independence Day at the Cary Community center. It was a successful event. The evening's festivities began at 7:00 pm with Mela.
The evening's official agenda began at 8:45 with Mr. Sarfaraz Kazi welcoming all to the occassion. A recitation from the Holy Quran followed thereafter. Mr. Nadeem Iqbal gave a wonderful presentation on the founder of Pakistan, baba-e-millat, Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah. NCPAA was delighted to give gifts to quiz competition winners, and wishes the participants success in their future academic endeavors. Pakistan History quiz, raffle, and musical program were held as part of the evening's festivities. A musical extravaganza from talented local artist, Mr. Atif Ikram rounded out the evening's events. Another, local artists, Mr. and Mrs. Ravi which were referred by Professor Afroz Taj delighted the audience with their beautiful voice. Thanks to all those that came, and thanks to those that acquired stalls. It was a respectful ceremony celebrating the birth of our country which was made possible by the volunteer work of Mr. Sarfaraz Kazi, Mr. Hasan Imam, Mr. Atif Ikram, Prof. Afroz Taj, Mr. Nadeem Iqbal, and the members of the NCPAA�s executive committee.
