Message from the Festival Chairperson, Mr. Ahsen Salim.. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dear Volunteers,
As many of you have been asking, it is time for the International Festival again, and the Pakistani group is participating once again!!! The Festival will be held on November 7th-9th (Friday/Saturday/Sunday). Details are at http://www.internationalfestival.org/ Because it will be during the month of Ramadan, the Pakistani group will not be participating in the food booth. But we will be participating in the following events: 1. Bazaar 2. Cultural Exhibit 3. Cooking Demonstration 4. Coffeehouse Performance (musical) We will need volunteers for all of these! The International Festival is attended by tens of thousands of visitors every year. This is our chance to show off our culture in the best light, and your full participation is greatly needed. This is also a good fundraising event for us if things go well. Here is what we need: a) Vendors for the bazaar: If you have any items you would like to display and sell such as handicrafts, small nick nacks, garments especially ladies, (NEW!), jewelry etc. please contact me! b) Mehndi / henna: We will be requiring as many volunteers as possible to help with Henna / Mehndi. Experts and non-experts alike, please help out! c) Bazaar volunteers: We will need volunteers to stand in the bazaar booth and help sell the items. Anyone is welcome to volunteer. Membership of PAA is not a requirement for volunteering. We would like to see non-PAA members volunteer as well, as a joint community event.
