Message from Community Involvement team........
Once again, the dinner for homeless was a great success!
Last Sunday, we prepared and served dinner for about 200 people at Raleigh Homeless
Shelter. Since hosting our first ever dinner last year, our collective cooking and
serving skills have tremendously improved, evident by the fact that this time we did
not drop a single plate and people were coming back for seconds! While we cooked, we
exchanged culinary ideas with the chef and learned how to make (and taste, of course!)
the scrumptious rosemary-garlic roasted chicken!!!
We would like to express our profound gratitude to Dinkar Chivaluri (a friend of
Mujahid) who sponsored the entire dinner on behalf of his parents Lakshmi Narasimha
Charyulu and Rajya Lakshmi. May he and his family be blessed for supporting this great
cause!
Also, we would like to recognize and thank the following volunteers who helped with
various aspects of this project; Ahsen Salim, Amer Malik, Amjad Pasha, Asim Fakhar,
Dr. Badar Abbasi, Dr. Chander Shekhar, Mujahid Hussain and Reza Sohel.
