The Community Involvement Team (CIT) of PAA is organizing the second dinner of this year for the homeless people on Sunday, March 14th at Raleigh Homeless Shelter.
This dinner is sponsored by Family Health International (FHI) on behalf of Dr. Badar Abbasi�s mother, who passed away last month in Larkana, Pakistan. Dr. Abbasi has been working for FHI in Durham on a one-year fellowship program. This dinner is primarily funded by his colleagues, honoring a Pakistani tradition. Each dinner feeds 200-220 people and costs approximately $250. These dinners and other such social projects give us opportunities to be directly involved with, and to give back to, the communities we live in and in turn raise awareness about our presence and value in the society. We encourage you to participate in this or upcoming homeless-dinner projects by contributing your time and/or money. The dinner on the mentioned date will require help of 7 to 8 people, from 3:30pm to 7:00pm.
