David, For the Stanza SSS you only need the mount for your model. If you have a late model Stanza SSS rear g/box mount you should have a bolt up for the doggy box if you have the later model Stanza GL/GX with the square headlights, to fit the doggy into the early Stanza GL/GX (round lights) you only need to do a few mods, not rated difficult as i recall and pretty obvious what's required, i think you have to modify an exhaust bracket that's welded to the body - sorry not as particular is i could be but i haven't had a Stanza since early '80s. I don't know of the technical pros & cons of installing a L20B in a Stanza as I always used L18W SSS engines - (as i'm not a L20B fan (:- ) You shouldn't have any problems bolting the doggy to a L20B, but watch which throw out trunion you use, there are 2 lengths and it's common to get them mixed up so make sure it's the suits the clutch you use. Others on the list will have better info on the L20 flywheel to p/plate bolt pattern, there are better options for a flywheel e.g. L24 is much lighter than the L20B monster and small issues like that. The exhaust system gives a bit of bother with this conversion in a 1600, i imagine there might be the same drama with the Stanza as well as the L20B sits higher in the engine bay in the 1600 at least in relation to the L16/L18. The path the exhaust takes to the back axle isn't what you'd call ideal on the Stanza and it usually requires some fabrication with major mods on board. Genie or H&M used to make a header 4-2-1 that works a treat on the Stanza body as the down pipe was a lot lower than the stock item but it didn't fit with a 2 x 45 Datrally mani but it did fit with 2 x Hitachi and 1 x 45 Lynx xover. regards terry regards terry David Costello wrote:   I'm dropping an L20 into my `81 stanza.
