The engine out job is pretty straight forward. Remember to undo the idler
arm and pull the steering drag link low enough to clear the flywheel cover.
This lets the motor come forward enough to get good clearance from the
firewall and gearbox.
Sorry, the L20 head on the L18 isn't my strong suit. Should bolt on though.
If your fitting an L20 to the 1600, remember they are about 20mm taller in
the block. This means the standard exhaust doesn't fit back on, it needs
lengthening. The standard L20 aircleaner will foul the bonnet. Replace the
carby with sidedrafts or lower the LH engine mount a tad.
