Some thoughts -
Firstly, if a moderate-to-warm street ride is your aim, then Zac's probably
hit the nail on the head, 200B or 240K brakes will serve you well.
Also, they're relatively cheap and plentiful, don't look out of place to the
average law enforcer.
But, the Verada / VL Turbo combination isn't difficult, just more expensive
and more steps to take. They look pretty good under the right wheels ( may be
as important as performance to some people ), and they're no more illegal than
200B brakes. If you're going to go to the trouble of a brake roadworthy inspection,
may as well make it worth doing, or at least avoid doing it again when you've
got a killer motor on board.
With either setup, a 180B booster and maybe a 7/8" or even 15/16" master cylinder
would improve the feel at the pedal. For the rears, 240/260Z alloy finned drums
are a minor upgrade for heat resistance and looks, but the Skyline rear discs
seem to be the obvious choice for serious braking power. Playing with the rear
cylinder size and rear bias will allow you to dial in the drum brakes to match
the fronts.
Hope this helps, can't make the decision for you but hopefully with the info
this list can provide the right option for you will make itself clear.
