The standard computer is a good option if you or a friend are fairly
electronically/electrically skilled, and have a good wiring diagram, there
is the problem of the speed sensor to get around tho, but I think someone
would have that sussed out by now. Also if the motor is not in a front cut,
make sure you get the full engine loom. If you plan to make major
modifications to the engine, then the aftermarket ECU may be a better
option. My FJ20t came with a full 4month warranty, incl turbo gearbox etc,
after some persuasion they paid(most of) for the replacement of the 2nd
gear synchro which was notchy.
