Hi everyone,
for those who remember I have a 1600 that I am doing up. I have just
installed a Z18ET and have loads of good stuff and a mod plate. The body
is not the best but not bad in 1600 terms. I do however have the
oppertunity to buy a really good rolling shell that was prepped back to
bare metal flared guards and painted in metallic blue. I am very keen to
get this car but there are now some options to consider. Oh yeah a
complete car and some is included with the shell.
Option 1: put all my good stuff on the new shell. Front & rear
suspension, diff, brakes, engine, exhaust, seats etc. Then replace the
parts with the new spares from the shell and sell the car as is un sprayed
80% body prepped for painting.

Option 2: finish my current car resparay leave in Z18 and sell. Then
build new shell with its bits and install an SR or CA18DET.

Option 2 is ideal but will be more expensive but worth the money becaus of
the shell. Due to funds I will prolly do option 1.

Worries: Do flared guards decrease the value of the car? Ho do I fill the
guards (wheel and tires) legally and without breaking the bank (increase
track etc!!)?

Let me know what you think.
        Pete.
