Zac,
Not in the early days they used BHP which are not real horses in most ppl eyes,
the PS rating started sometime in the early 80's when they changed max power
laws and made a few others to do with speed, but they relax the narrow body law
( toyota made the wide body camry) and Mitsui did the same with the Magna
although it's called something else over there.
