The closed chamber heads are often refered to as kidney shaped heads which
also offer an increase in compression compared to an open head which has
less.The open heads L 20(        )have bigger ports , bigger valves &  they
flow better standard than a stock L 16 or L 18 head. Your best option if you
can afford it is to get a L 16 or L 18 (A87) head port it,put larger vavles
L 28 int.
and exh.in it and watch your compression.Also an L 20 will rev if it is
built
properley.
