Wayne,
Use the 2.5" system with a front mounted resonator and rear mounted turbo
muffler. This will "just" keep it quiet enough for 75 db low noise
circuits.
Cheers,
Feral Errol

List,
My 1600 is designated for club/circuit work only, no public road
driving.
I was wondering what size exhaust and style of muffler (muffler or
resinator)
would suit. Bear in mind that the engine is a worked* L20B with twin 45mm
webbers.
* I dont know how worked, but aparrently it's had lots $$ spent on its head
and needs a diet of AVGAS.
So would asay a 2.5 inch exhaust with a single offset centre straight
through
muffler be too loud, or should I go 2.25 inch?

        -Wayne
