I am currently rebuilding my 1600 autox/rally car. Its got an L16 twin su's, standard single-wheeler diff and 4spd box. Ive got the car to handle well, but would like some more grunt without spending too much $$$ or going over 1600cc. (to stay in the >1600cc class). I thought the best way would be to get a very low ratio LSD, ie 5.1 and a close ratio 5spd box. I have heard about R160, R180 etc, what is the diff? (scuse the pun) I would like the simplest to fit, i dont think strength would be a big deal as the car does not put out much grunt, how much $$$ am i looking at? Same story wtih the box, stanza, 260z, etc? which has the best ratios, strength and also how much $$$? Also, is this really the easiest/cheapest/"best in the long run" thing to do? I figured once i drop a worked L18 in which will happen in 1-2 yrs, i would have to upgrade the driveline anyway. Thanks in adavance regards sam __________________________________________________________________ Get your free Australian email account at http://www.start.com.au --membersozdat------------------------------------------------------- OZDAT Mailing List Please Note:- Send (un)subscribe requests to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Send submissions to [EMAIL PROTECTED] No unauthorised redistribution of this email http://www.datascribe.com.au/ozdatonline/index.htm http://www.datascribe.com.au/ozdatonline/listindex.html http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------
